Grade 8 children sit the same Level 13/14 as Grade 7. Districts use it for honors and accelerated placement, and some gifted programs test again in Grade 8 before high school. Our Grade 8 tests lean harder than Grade 7's: more of each part comes from the hardest questions.

Tips
Getting ready for Grade 8
- Pace yourself. Ten minutes a part is under 30 seconds a question, so move on and come back rather than stall on one.
- For number series, write the gaps underneath. If they do not grow evenly, look for two steps, steps that take turns, or square numbers.
- Paper folding at this level punches two holes through two folds. Unfold one fold at a time and count: every fold doubles the holes.
