Brain test for kids

Twenty puzzles with words, numbers and shapes, in about 15 minutes. They are the kinds of puzzle the CogAT, NNAT and OLSAT ask, the tests schools use for gifted and talented programs. Pick your child’s age to start.

This is not an IQ test. It does not measure intelligence, and it cannot predict a score on the CogAT or any other test. It shows how your child did on these 20 puzzles today.

What is in it

Three kinds of puzzle

  • Words

Which word goes with another in the same way, and which does not belong.

  • Numbers

What comes next in a number pattern, and number puzzles.

  • Shapes

Shape patterns, grids with a piece missing, and folded paper.

At the end you see how many puzzles your child solved and what that means, in plain words. For the full practice tests, see CogAT, NNAT and OLSAT.
