Free NGAT practice test for KindergartenNGAT Kindergarten form

Kindergarten children sit the NGAT's Kindergarten form: three tests of 40 questions, 30 minutes each, with no reading. The Verbal test is pictures of everyday things, the Nonverbal test is colored shapes, and the Quantitative test counts and patterns. Our Kindergarten tests read each question's one-line direction aloud.

Tips

Getting ready for Kindergarten

  • Name things together at home and ask which one does not belong: a fork, a spoon, a cup and a shoe.
  • Point at the empty box together on the first few shape questions, then let your child choose alone.
  • Forty questions is a lot for a five-year-old. Try 10 first, then build up.

Our practice questions are written by us in the style of the published NGAT question types; they are not real NGAT questions, and a practice score is not an NGAT score.
