Tips

Getting ready for Grade 3

  • Know the times tables to 10 x 10: many questions lean on them.
  • For fractions, draw the shape and shade the parts.
  • Some reading questions ask for TWO answers: choose both before moving on.
  • For words that are easy to mix up, such as there and their, read the whole sentence first.
  • Answer every question: the test will not let your child skip one.
