How to fill in the sheet
- Use a blue or black ballpoint pen unless your test says otherwise.
- Darken the whole circle of the one answer you choose, and nothing outside it.
- Do not darken two circles for one question: the machine marks it as no answer.
- Do not strike out, rub out or use correction fluid. Most tests do not mark a changed answer.
- Check every few questions that the question number on the sheet matches the question paper.
Questions parents ask
- What is an OMR sheet?
- OMR means optical mark recognition. The answer sheet has a row of circles for each question, and a machine reads which circle is dark. Navodaya, Sainik School, olympiad and many school tests use one.
- How do I save the OMR sheet as a PDF?
- Press Print a blank sheet, then choose Save as PDF as the printer. On an Android phone, choose Print from the share menu, then Save as PDF.
- What are the most common OMR mistakes?
- Darkening two circles, a half-filled circle, marking the answer in the wrong row after skipping a question, and rubbing out an answer. Practising on a sheet before the test day helps a child avoid all four.
- Is my child's sheet saved?
- Only in this browser, so a reload keeps the answers. Nothing is sent to us, and you need no account.
This is a free practice sheet from Scholar Tests, not connected with any test board.
