Question counts are estimates. AAS publishes a 40–50 minute limit for each test and no per-section question count, so the counts above — and the mix within each section — come from sample papers rather than from AAS.

Mathematics
40 questions in 30 minutes — about 45 seconds each. Up to five options.
Verbal Reasoning
60 questions in 30 minutes — about 30 seconds each. Up to five options.
Numerical Reasoning
50 questions in 30 minutes — about 35 seconds each. Up to five options, including "none of these".
Reading Comprehension
40 questions in 30 minutes across reading passages and sentence questions — spelling, punctuation and grammar.
